Texts can be traditional or egalitarian and Heather offers some texts of her own. The borders and backgrounds are painted and illuminated to reflect the colors, passions and unique personalities of each individual couple. Signed during the wedding ceremony and witnessed by the rabbi and those chosen by the bridal couple, a ketuba, painted and illuminated, becomes a Word of Art. Its inspirational beauty delights not only the eye, but touches the spirit and reminds us of the highest aspirations in sacred relationship to which spiritual partners commit themselves. Many people celebrate significant anniversaries by commissioning a Word of Art ketuba as they rededicated themselves one to the other through the years. In addition to creating ketubot, Heather offers a wide range of other 'word paintings' of a spiritual nature, both as original commissions and as digital reproductions. Heather's work is available in three different formats to meet different budgets.
Heather is also creating a series of stained glass frames to complement the beauty of her artwork. We welcome you and hope you enjoy our studio. |
